<description>&#60;p&#62;Hi,&#60;br /&#62;
I like to keep the panel set to HLS sliders a lot of the time.  Every time I use the eyedropper, it resets to the diamond.  The same thing happens when doing other things as well, basically if I acquire a color from outside of the Colorotate panel, then it resets to the diamond, with default settings.  &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;This only happens when it's in the compact mode.  In the big mode, it doesn't do this.  Is there any way to make it stay on sliders once I set them there?  Is there any fix for this?&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Thanks,&#60;br /&#62;
Jason

<description>&#60;p&#62;A small number of ColoRotate CS5 plugin users have received error messages about being unable to connect to the Internet. We are unable to replicate this problem, and do not know the cause. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;User Ryan, referred us to a thread, &#60;a href=&#34;http://forums.adobe.com/thread/652702&#34;&#62;CS Live can't connect to the internet&#60;/a&#62; in the Adobe forums which discusses a similar problem that is affecting Adobe's own Flash Panels. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;We do not know the cause, and have no specific workarounds to suggest. Possible methods which have worked for some (not all) users are: &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;ul&#62;
&#60;li&#62; Enable 'Allow Extensions to Connect to the Internet' in Photoshop preferences (Preferences-&#38;gt;Plugins-&#38;gt;Allow Extensions to Connect to the Internet)
&#60;/li&#62;
&#60;li&#62; Do you use a firewall? If so, turn off your firewall
&#60;/li&#62;
&#60;li&#62; Restart Photoshop or your system (don't bother doing that more than once)
&#60;/li&#62;
&#60;li&#62; Delete Adobe preferences
&#60;/li&#62;
&#60;li&#62; Disable 3rd party plugins and extensions
&#60;/li&#62;
&#60;/ul&#62;
&#60;p&#62;If you have this problem, and you are able to fix it, please let us know.

<description>&#60;p&#62;If you have permissions problems when installing for CS5, you can manually install the ZXP files. The ZXP format is based on the zip specification, so you can download zxp, change extension of this file to &#34;.zip&#34; and open with your un-archiver. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;&#60;strong&#62;For Windows:&#60;/strong&#62;&#60;br /&#62;
Copy unarchived files to:&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;strong&#62;Photoshop CS5: &#60;/strong&#62;Disk:Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS5/Plug-ins/Panels/ColoRotate/content&#60;br /&#62;
 (you will need to create the &#34;ColoRotate&#34; and &#34;ColoRotate/content&#34; directories)&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;strong&#62;Fireworks CS5: &#60;/strong&#62;Disk:Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Fireworks CS5/Configuration/Command Panels/Others&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;&#60;strong&#62;On the Mac:&#60;/strong&#62;&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;strong&#62;Photoshop CS5: &#60;/strong&#62;Applications:Adobe Photoshop CS5:Plug-ins:Panels:ColoRotate:content&#60;br /&#62;
 (you will need to create the &#34;ColoRotate&#34; and &#34;ColoRotate:content&#34; folders)&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;strong&#62;Fireworks CS5: &#60;/strong&#62;Applications:Adobe Fireworks CS5:Configuration:Command Panels:Others&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;If you are using CS4, contact us, and we will send you uncompressed files.

<description>&#60;p&#62;If you purchase the ColoRotate plugin, you will download an MXP file.  With Photoshop closed, double click the MXP file, accept the dialogs, and install. Then open Phototoshop.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;An extension package (MXP) file is compressed installation file containing the ColoRotate extension to be downloaded and installed by the Adobe Extension Manager. The Help button in the Extension Manager will launch its help system, and can answer many questions about how Adobe installs extensions. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;The Extension Manager is a free program that lets you easily install new extensions and keep track of the ones you already have. Download the Extension Manager installer and save it on your local drive, then double-click the installer to begin the installation process. Once the installation is complete, you can launch the Extension Manager from within the application by selecting Manage Extensions from the Help menu. Please note that the Extension Manager is used to install extensions that are in the MXP file format.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Extension Manager 2.0 includes support for the new Bridge CS4, Contribute CS4, Dreamweaver CS4, Fireworks CS4, Flash CS4, Illustrator CS4, InCopy CS4, InDesign CS4, and Photoshop CS4 releases.&#60;/p&#62;

<title>ColoRotate on "A  "can't create folder" error?"</title>
<link>http://about.colorotate.org/discussions/topic/a-cant-create-folder-error#post-311</link>

<description>&#60;p&#62;When installing the plugin, occasionally users get &#34;can't create folder&#34; error. Here are two possible solutions:&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;1) In some cases, be sure that Photoshop is closed before installing the plugin from the Extension Manager. Similarly, the Extension Manager should have admin rights.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;2) As a workaround, manually create a folder...&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;&#60;strong&#62;On Windows:&#60;/strong&#62;&#60;br /&#62;
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Plug-Ins\Panels\ColoRotate&#60;br /&#62;
And inside it:&#60;br /&#62;
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Plug-Ins\Panels\ColoRotate\content&#60;br /&#62;
You are putting &#34;ColoRotate\content&#34; inside Photoshop's Panels directory... if your Photoshop is installed on another drive, e.g., &#34;D:&#34;, then replace &#34;C&#34; with &#34;D&#34; above. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;&#60;strong&#62;On a mac:&#60;/strong&#62;&#60;br /&#62;
Create a similar folder here:&#60;br /&#62;
Applications:Adobe Photoshop CS4:Plug-ins:Panels:ColoRotate:content&#60;br /&#62;
(That's a &#34;ColoRotate&#34; folder in &#34;Panels&#34;, and a &#34;content&#34; folder inside &#34;ColoRotate&#34;)&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Then try re-installing. If that still does not work, please &#60;a href=&#34;http://about.colorotate.org/contact.html&#34;&#62;contact us&#60;/a&#62;, and we will send you a zip file to manually copy into the &#34;content&#34; folder.
